Acerinox Europe has been awarded with the ‘Best Business Development Prize’ in Cádiz by the renowned magazine Actualidad Económica.
The award was collected by the board of Campo de Gibraltar`s plant during an event celebrated today in the head office of Cajasol Foundation, located in San Antonio´s square of Cádiz. The decision of the award was taken by a jury of the magazine.
To the event, which was chaired by Miguel Ángel Belloso, Director’s of Actualidad Económica, attended Mr Antonio Sanz, Government Delegate of Andalusia; Mr Javier Sánchez Rojas, President of Cadiz Businessmens Confederation; Angel Juan Pascual, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cadiz and Mr José Ignacio Landaluce, Major of Algeciras.
This award follows the one given by Andalucía Económica magazine to Acerinox wich acknowledges business development and economic impact in this area. Acerinox Europe was awarded at the XV edition which this year was celebrated on the 25 anniversary of the magazine.
With this awards, andalusian society acknowledges the influence of Acerinox in the region, in which it employes almost 2.600 people directly and over 6.700 counting direct and indirect jobs, besides being the biggest industrial enterprise in Andalusia and one of the leader’s in terms of exports.
The state-of-the-art technology and the high efficiency of our plant in Campo de Gibraltar are referents within its sector, being one of the most developed factories thanks to the continuous investment since was incorporated in 1970.
This investment policy was back once again last January when the company allocated another 140 million euros for the acquisition of an annealing and pickling (AP) line and a new cold-rolling mill.
Acerinox is over than 80 countries and has similar production plants in United States, South Africa and Malaysia.
