Donations from Acerinox Europa against the effects of Covid-19 in Campo de Gibraltar amount to almost 270,000 euros

During july the plant contributed 66,498 euros to collaborate with 30 entities that respond to requests for help in the area

Since March, Acerinox Europa has accumulated 266,224 euros in donations to alleviate the basic needs of the most vulnerable population affected by the effects of the pandemic in Campo de Gibraltar.

During July, Acerinox Europa has donated 66,498 euros to this concept, collaborating with 30 social entities, non-profit associations and Caritas del Campo de Gibraltar, which assist in request for aid in the area.

Since the effects of the pandemic caused by Covid-19 began, Acerinox Europe has increased its efforts to channel and distribute these resources monthly. In this regard, as in previous months, the Social Responsibility Commission of the plant, which includes representatives of the Board and of the organizations receiving aid, met to take an interest in the current situation generated by the pandemic and its effects on families with fewer resources in the region.

Acerinox Europe's commitment to Campo de Gibraltar has also materialized with the donation of masks, some of which werre donated to the Campo de Gibraltar hospital network, in addition to other personal protective equipment.

Acerinox Europe maintains exceptional measures, while the risk derived from Coronavirus remains, to ensure the health and safety of its employees, customers and suppliers. Recently, the measures adopted in this regard have been certified by AENOR, thus becoming the first steel company to have the seal of approval from this entity.
