Our suppliers are an essential part of the company's business performance.
We therefore not only extend our high standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation, but also demand the same level of commitment to transparency and sustainability, especially in relation to ethics, integrity and compliance.

"Good supply chain management is an opportunity to improve business relationships, achieve higher operational efficiency, deal with future contingencies and also strengthen our reputation. However, the key is to do it in collaboration with ethical, trustworthy and sustainable suppliers that together conform a strong supply chain that contributes positively to society in which we operate while enhancing the trust and confidence of our customers".

Our purchases are divided into direct and general procurement. Direct procurement includes raw materials used and directly integrated into the final product delivered by Acerinox. General procurement, includes all those services and products that are used to manufacture the product.
In order to optimize the efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and traceability of our processes, we have implemented digital tools that allow us to simplify our work and enable a more agile and effective collaboration with our suppliers.
The registration and approval of new suppliers is done through Jaggaer (link). This step is essential to start any relationship with Acerinox.
All bidding, auctions, and RFxs are conducted through Jaggaer, the procurement platform, to ensure transparency and simplicity. An evaluation covering technical aspects and ESG criteria is conducted for each of them. To be awarded, the criteria mentioned on the website must be met.
Once a project or contract has been awarded, it is necessary to be registered on the GoSupply platform. This tool ensures the correct traceability of the supply chain as well as the identification and management of potential and actual risks.
Project awards will be formalized through the signing of a contract or order reflecting the scope of the business relationship.
Invoicing and payment will be made as agreed in the commercial terms. Invoicing will be notified via email and/or regular post.
Suppliers are subject to yearly evaluations on delivery times and quality, product and/or service performance and sustainability performance. The final result will determine whether the product and/or service meet the service level agreements.
As part of responsible purchasing management, Acerinox can request on-site and/or online audits that can be carried out either by our company itself or by accredited external auditors. These audits will focus on ESG compliance and/or capacity analysis (verification of capacity, operational flexibility, quality management system...).

“Excellence can only be created if we work as a team. In a market as challenging and changing as today’s market, excellence is a fundamental aspect for our success.
This is why it is important to recognize the commitment of the suppliers that have driven our leadership. Suppliers that have demonstrated an outstanding operational performance, a real and tangible commitment to sustainability, and an amazing capacity for adaptation, responding quickly and effectively both to our needs and to market demands.
The purpose of the “Acerinox Supplier of the Year Awards” is precisely to recognize that talent. We seek to reward partners who have provided us with creative solutions, who compete through innovation, and who understand, like us, that the highest ethical standards are non-negotiable. And, above all, we recognize those who share our vision and want to be relevant players in the future of stainless steel and special alloys”.
Bernardo Velázquez Herreros.
CEO of Acerinox.
The “Acerinox Supplier of the Year Awards” are a direct reflection of our operational management model. Through this initiative, which has involved all of the Group’s main manufacturing plants, we highlight strategic collaborations that have provided us with differential value.
Our model is structured around a fundamental pillar: the perfect balance between the autonomy and flexibility of each of our plants, and the coordination and efficiency required by a global market.
The award categories have been designed to honor both aspects of this vision:
Aimed at suppliers who demonstrate a strong commitment to local development. Through this award, we recognize partners that actively strengthen the industrial sector in the regions where our plants operate, contributing directly to Acerinox’s “glocal” model.
This category is awarded to partners capable of working with us on a global scale. We recognize companies with an international presence that ensure streamlined and adapted local support in different countries, yet managed through centralized global coordination. This synergy is key to our efficiency and competitiveness.
In both categories, the key points taken into consideration for the awards have been:
Recognizing excellence and sharing values of growth: a vision that builds success.
It has been a pleasure to present these awards from our factories in acknowledgement of the commitment of the suppliers that have fueled our leadership. Therefore, we want to give a special mention to all the winners:
